My Roots Are in Welland

I grew up in Welland, moving here when I was about nine years old. I attended St. Augustine Elementary School and Welland High before continuing my education at Niagara College.

Although life took me outside the city for a number of years, my connection to Welland continued. From 1992 to 1998, I owned and operated Computer Outlet in Welland, and in 2013 I returned to make Welland my home again.

I’ve worked in information technology for 35 years. I’m also a father of four and a proud grandfather of two.

Giving Back to the Community

Community involvement has been an important part of my life. I’m a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, which has also been an important part of our charity motorcycle rides.

For the past 17 years, I’ve been involved in charity motorcycle rides supporting Help A Child Smile, hosted at the Welland Legion. Together, these rides have helped raise more than $160,000 for children and families.

That experience has reinforced something I strongly believe: when people come together for a common purpose, we can make a real difference in our community.

Serving Ward 6

In 2022, I was elected to Welland City Council as one of the two councillors representing Ward 6.

I believe residents deserve clear answers about the decisions being made on their behalf. That means doing my homework, asking the tough questions and making sure I understand an issue before casting my vote.

For me, being a councillor is about more than attending meetings. It’s about listening to residents, answering the phone, helping people navigate City Hall and following up when something needs attention.

I may not always be able to give someone the answer they want, but I will always work to get them an answer.

Council & Community Involvement

During this term of Council, I have also served on the Welland Public Library Board and the Dorothy Rungeling Airport Commission.

These roles have given me the opportunity to contribute to important community services and organizations beyond the Council table.

Why I’m Running Again

Over the past four years, I’ve tried to bring a straightforward approach to City Hall: listen to residents, ask questions, look at the facts and make decisions I believe are in the best interests of Welland.

I’m seeking re-election because I want to continue bringing that approach to Council and being an accessible, independent voice for the residents of Ward 6.
